Every year when the summer comes to an end, we look back at the fun we have had.
Sunflowers are an August plant, and highland cows remind me of my time living in Scotland. Some of the best years of my life were when I lived in the gorgeous Fife area. I was lucky enough to live right near the beach. Fun Fact: I was working in St Andrews at the same time Prince William was attending the university. Often saw him surfing.
Camping is something I love to do. I have done it every year since I was little, and now that I have my own beautiful children, I love to share that time with them too. I can’t wait to get back out in the tent again! There is something truly magical about it.
Flowers – for me a complete nightmare. I suffer with severe hayfever that usually has me on steroids to control. But this year I have had fun planning how I want to sort out our garden, all the beautiful flowers I want to put in, and how much fun it is going to be to teach the children.
Stargazing is something I have done since I was tiny. I used to do it with my dad before he passed away when I was 12. Still to this day, the stars and space fascinate me. I am forever watching documentaries and 2 of my favourite films are space based. Can you guess which?
Dreams are important. They guide us, help us and inform us of things we may not have even been aware of. Often in dreams, I will see a unicorn. It is the most beautiful creature I have ever seen. They are a symbol for me, and are one of the reasons my logo is the way it is. Perhaps I will share that story one day.
And finally there is the plants. I cannot, for the life of me, keep a potted plant alive! But I love them. They make a room brighter, fresher and prettier. I may not be able to keep a real plant alive, but I have a couple of fake ones in my sewing room!
